Conference site

The conference programme will take place at the lecture hall in building 1 of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (FIOSH, German acronym BAuA). The conference dinner will take place at the "steel hall" of the German Occupational Safety and Health Exhibition (GOSHE, German acronym DASA), next to the FIOSH/BAuA (see map).

by car: take motorway A40/B1, take the exit "Dortmund-Dorstfeld/Universität", follow the signs "Deutsche Arbeitsschutzausstellung"

by train, from main station Dortmund: take the train S-Bahn S1/S21 direction "Düsseldorf", leave the train at stop "Dortmund-Dorstfeld Süd" (approx. 5 minutes).

by plane, airport Düsseldorf: take the train S-Bahn S1/S21 direction "Dortmund", leave the train at stop "Dortmund-Dorstfeld Süd" (approx. 90 minutes)

by plane, airport Dortmund: take the bus to Dortmund main station (approx. 30 minutes), then take the train S-Bahn S1/S21 direction "Düsseldorf", leave the train at stop "Dortmund-Dorstfeld Süd" (approx. 5 minutes)

Accommodation:

We blocked rooms in hotels downtown in the vicinity of the Dortmund main station and at the University campus in the vicinity of the conference site (TRYP hotel). The TRYP hotel is interesting for people that arrive by car. It is only a short drive from the TRYP hotel to the conference site (or a good walk for people who like it). The conference site can conveniently be reached by local trains from downtown main station. For people arriving by train or plane it is probably more convenient to stay at a downtown hotel and to walk to the main station and take the train S1/S21 (direction "Düsseldorf", stop "Dortmund-Dorstfeld Süd") to the conference site.

Hotel rooms have been blocked from 7-5-2004 to 7-8-2004. The blocking option "dimva2004" expires 6-5-2004. The room rates range from 68 to 90 EUR. Hotel rooms from the blocking option "dimva2004" must be booked via "dortmund.kongress.tourismus.service" before 6-5-2004.
