Social Event
On July 9th at 18.00 the DIMVA participants will meet at Como port side area where a couple of boats will bring us to cruise around Lake Como. The deepest lake in Europe and the third largest in Italy, Lago di Como attracts with its backdrop of the pre-Alps, its sub-tropical climate and the visual contrasts in colors and textures. The lake is well-known for the attractive villas. The front door of many of the smaller villas is the actual lake. There is no possible way to the front door, but via boat. During the cruise we will see Villa Erba, Villa D'Este and obviously George Clooney's Villa.
At 19.30, approximately, we will dock at Hotel Vapore in Torno, where we will get our dinner with typical dishes from the local cuisine. The dining room is on the lakeside, where, if lucky, we will see a colorful sunset on the lake and we will enjoy the sparkling lights of the lake promenades and mountain villages in the starlit nights.
At 22.00, approximately, the boats will bring us back to Como's port side area.
